Penne alla Vodka Recipe!

Who doesn't love a great pasta dish? We certainly do. :)

Today we have a simple and delicious recipe for penne alla vodka! And as always, we are using our signature Capa di Roma Marinara Sauce and olive oil to get that authentic Italian flavor! If you're looking for an easy to prepare dinner for yourself and the family, you've come to the right place!

What you'll need:
  • 1 jar (16 oz.) Capa di Roma Marinara sauce
  • 1 pound penne 
  • 1 cup vodka
  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp. Capa di Roma Olive Oil
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • a small bunch of arugula (optional for garnish)
  • parmesan cheese to top it all off!

Step 1: Boil the water for your pasta, and toss it in.  (We prefer ours al dente!)

Step 2: In a saucepan, saute your minced garlic, chopped onion, olive oil and butter for a few minutes.

Step 3: (Slowly!) pour in your vodka and let your mixture cook over medium heat for about 3 minutes.

Step 4: Add your Capa di Roma Marinara sauce and reduce heat to a simmer.

Step 5: Add your cup of cream and stir well.  Add salt and pepper to taste.

Step 6: Pour your sauce over the penne and top with some arugula and lovely grated cheese!
