We all love a great, home made pesto sauce (we've even already given you our recipe
), but what about ading a creamy twist on this popular favorite? With a little cream, pesto sauce can take on a whole new flavor, perfect for when you want to switch it up! This recipe makes enough for two servings of pasta.
What you'll need:
- 1/2 lb. pasta of your choice
- 2 tbsp. prepared pesto (you can use our recipe HERE)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 tbsp. salted butter
- 1/2 cup 2% milk
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
: Set a large pot of water over high heat and bring to a boil while preparing your other ingredients for the sauce. In a large skillet over low heat, add your 3 tbsp. of butter, and grate garlic over it. Stir until garlic begins to brown.
: Add in the heavy cream and milk and stir for 1 minute. Add your prepared pesto and continue to stir. Add parmesan cheese and stir until the cheese melts.
: As soon as pasta is ready, grab it with tongs and bring it directly into your large skillt to mix with the sauce.
