We don't know about you, but we are serious bread lovers here at Capa! One thing that is always amazing to have is warm, homemade bread! And the good news is: it doesn't have to be difficult to make! In this recipe all you need is two loaf pans, but you can also make bread even more easily in a bread maker.  So if you're a newbie at bread-making, just follow along with us and you're on you way to some deliciousness!

What you'll need:
  • 6 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/4 oz. active dry yeast
  • 2 1/4 cups warm water
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 3 tbsp. white sugar
  • 2 tbsp. canola oil
Step 1: Dissolve the active yeast in a large bowl and then add the sugar, salt, oil, and half of your flour.  Mix your dough, beating until smooth.

Step 2: Add in the rest of your flour slowly in 1/2 cup increments and mix into a soft dough.

Step 3: Prepare a floured surface and transfer your dough onto it.  Knead your dough for around 10 minutes.  Lightly grease another large mixing bowl and place your dough inside, making sure to grease all sides.  Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm area for about 1 1/2 hours.

Step 4: On another floured surface, transfer your dough and knead it down.  Divide the dough into two parts and shape each into a loaf.

Step 5: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.  Take two 9 x 5 in loaf pans and place your dough in each.  Cover again and let the loaves rise for about 30 minutes.

Step 6: Bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown.  Buon appetito!
