Today we have a DIY marinade for your next steak dinner with all Italian flavors and herbs. A great marinade is one thing you definitely don't have to buy from the store and it tastes even better when it's made from fresh ingredients. This recipe is perfect for about 1-2 pounds of steak.
What you'll need:
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil - try using ours!
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp. fresh chopped parsley
- 1 tbsp. fresh chopped oregano
- 1 tbsp. fresh chopped rosemary
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
- salt and pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients in a small mixing bowl and divide mixture in half - refrigerating one half.
In a large, plastic resealable bag, pour the other half of your mixture and add steaks. Seal the bag and mix well. Refrigerate this whole bag as well for at least a few hours, or even overnight.
Grill your steak when ready, and then transfer to a cutting board to cut into strips. Now, you can use the half of the marinade that was saved in the fridge to drizzle a bit more before serving.
