This side dish is a fixture on the menus of most trendy restaurants right now, and that's because they don't disappoint! Considering we have a delicious balsamic vinegar
of our own to work with, we thought we'd bring you a recipe for brussels sprouts that's perfect for the season. It's a very flavorful side dish and maybe a different way to prepare your vegetable than you're used to! Let's break it down:
This recipe makes about 6 servings.
What you'll need:
- 1.5 lb fresh brussels sprouts
- 3 oz. diced pancetta
- 1/4 cup evoo
- 1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
- salt and pepper to taste
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Prepare your brussels sprouts by trimming them and cutting them in half the long way.
In a small mixing bowl combine your pancetta, olive oil and salt and pepper and then mix in your brussels sprout halves.
Prepare a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lay out your halves. Bake for about 10 minutes before flipping all the halves over to cook the other side for another 10-15 minutes or until tender. You also want the pancetta to be cooked thoroughly.
Remove from the oven and drizzle with your balsamic vinegar. Buon appetito!
