As you may be entertaining a little more frequently with this warmer weather, we have an informative, basic guide of wine and cheese pairings to try.  As most of us already know, wine and cheese make the perfect pair!  Tannin, acidity, and texture are just a few of the qualities to consider in finding a good match of wine and cheese, but today we're laying out the basics for you!
  • Port Wine + Bleu Cheese 
  • Sauvignon Blanc + Goat Cheese 
  • Rioja + Manchengo
  • Sauternes + Fondue
  • Cabernet Sauvignon + Aged Gouda or Extra Sharp Cheddar
  • Prosecco + Parmesan Cheese
  • Pinot Noir + Brie
  • Merlot + Monterey Jack or Garlic and Herb Cheese
  • Pinot Grigio + Mozzarella or Vermont Sharp Cheddar
  • Malbec + Aged Cheddar
  • Zinfandel + Jalapeño
  • Riesling + Fresh Ricotta 
  • Chardonnay + Gruyere, Colby Jack, or Mild Cheddar
  • Chianti + Tomato Basil
  • Syrah + Aged Cheeses

We reccomed picking a couple combinations at a time to try out at your next party.  You may not identify with every suggestion, but that's the fun part! Try them out and find your favorite!
