Ricotta Filling/Cannoli Dip Recipe

Buongiorno tutti!

Today we are whipping up that deliiicious ricotta filling found in cannoli and ricotta cake.  Another popular way to incorporate this filling is by presenting it as a dip that you can dip cookies into. (We could eat it with a spoon too!) 

What you'll need:
  • 15 oz. whole milk ricotta cheese, strained
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
Step 1: In your mixer (with whisk attachment) start mixing whipping cream for a few minutes.  Set this cream aside while you mix the other ingredients.
Step 2: Next, combine ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla in this same mixing bowl and mix on medium for about 1 minute.
Step 3: Add the whipped cream and chocolate chips. and mix lightly to combine ingredients.
Step 4: Chill for at least 2 hours before filling cannoli shells or presenting as dip.
