Sausage and Peppers

Sausage and peppers are a classic at any Italian family gathering.  It's also a pretty simle dish to whip up for dinner.  With a good quality sausage, this is a really tasty and easy dinner idea.

This recipe will make about 8 servings.

What you'll need:
  • 8 links of sweet Italian sausage
  • 1 large green bell pepper
  • 1 large red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Capa di Roma extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
Step 1: In a large skillet, pour your olive oil and warm over medium heat.  Cook your sausage until brown on all sides.  Then remove sausages from skillet and slice.

Step 2: Slice your yellow onion, and peppers and add to skillet.  Mix in your dried oregano, basil and white wine.  Cook until vegetables become soft.

Step 3: Add your sausage slices and cover.  Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
