Today we have a classic (and super simple) recipe for a flavorful, herbed dipping oil for bread. I don't know about you, but the bread and dipping oil is my favorite part of the meal when out to eat at an Italian restaurant, so why not throw this easy dip together at home to enjoy any day? Let's get to it!
What you'll need:
---> First, a quick note about our olive oil and what makes it so special: Capa di Roma EVOO is produced from a blend of three olives from the Puglia region of Italy and is imported straight from there. It has a buttery taste with a peppery finish!
To prepare your dipping oil:
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tbsp dried parsley
- 1 tbsp dried basil
- 1 tsp. dried rosemary
- 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
- salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper to taste
- 2 tbsps. parmesan cheese
Combine and stir all ingredients (except the parmesan cheese) together, sprinkle with your cheese, and voila! Pair with a nice crusty bread and you are in for a treat!
